Well, I told you we are using “Workspace” from Broadchoice which I also used for manageing Sevenmac.
However, yesterday I looked at “Yammer”, which was featured by “TechCrunch” and thought I give it a try and installed it.
Yammer is of course identically to Workspace except it also offers an intelligent content management and clearer appearance. Yammer also offers an AIR client app but besides the web and AIR platform an app for the iPhone and BlackBerry.

After applying the new design, thanks to Stefan, we move forward.
First of all a new “Intro Page” for SevenSnap.com is planned. Basically you can chose if you want to read the corporate blog, German and English. Of course this page will be upgraded as soon as possible to show the App we working on and further information.
Also our team is growing and so we can provide an english blog and move forward to our next milestone – Stefan will work on the design of our iPhone App.
I just had an Skype-call with my iPhone dev. We decided to use Push-Notifications from the start, beginning with version 1.0. The reason is that we see practical usage of it in many ways and so we want to give you this option!

Currently our designer Stefan is working to reach the next milestone in developement – the layout of SevenSnap.com!
We looking forward ot launch the new design in the next two weeks!
Our iPhone developer and me working currently on the structural layout of the app and optimizations. The most important issue we focus on is the usability. Basically we look at every screen of the app and thinking about “What does a user want to do here, what has the user to see here?”. The funny thing here is that you often lose the sight for the core function over the details. So we experienced that these “Back to the Roots” seasons are really useful.
The current schedule states that the first prototype app will be done end of this week and then we look further into screen design.

Because of the bandwith we are not sure if we can provide an US release at first because we have to provide the server-capicity for the app. Cloud-computing might be a possibility because it scalars with needs. It also reduces ping latency because US users can access US servers and European users can access Europe based servers.
We haven?t decided yet which server base we will use but we will make sure the servers will hold stance when the app will be released.
