With "Facebook Pages" marked articles

Creating a start-up is tough work and promoting it even more. We now have a Facebook Page for our project and I want to show you how to configure the Facebook Page the way it displays Twitter and RSS feeds.

First you need to create an Facebook Page and pay attention at the title of the Page because it can´t be changed later.

To import an RSS feed then (i.e. like we did with our Corporate Blog) you must perform the following steps.

1.) Click at “Edit Page”

2.) Click at “Edit” at the “Notes” layer

3.) Click at “Change Import Settings”

4.) Enter the RSS feed URL

Even it looks easy it´s not so easy to find out in the first place.

If done your Blog entries will show up automatically at your Facebook Page.

Further more we want our Twitter updates also there. You need to use an third party app for this because Facebook doesn´t have Twitter support yet.

1.) Click at “Edit Page”

2.) Click at “Additional Applications” -> “Further Apps”

3.) Search for “Selective Twitter Status” and install it.

4.) In the App, Settings, enter your Twitter-User Name

5.) Settings, Application, allow the App to puplish  new entries

Hint: Whenever you publish a Tweet with “#fb” it will show up shortly after at your Facebook Page.

That´s it, try it and have fun!
